By b2b on March 10th, 2010… for anything more than how well the top 2% are doing? Losing jobs, obviously doesn’t strengthen an economy for most people…
So, what are some resources/better indicators, that show the strength of a nations economy, and how well an economy is doing for the majority of the people in a country?

Why Does The Stock Market Rally When The Fed Holds Rates Steady?
By b2b on February 26th, 2010I know, it means companies can borrow money more cheaply. But the reason the Fed cites for not raising interest rates is that they predict economic slowdown! Wouldn’t that be even worse news for stocks? Does Wall Street not believe the economic predictions?

Why Blame Capitalism For Our Problems When We Don’t Even Have A Free Market And Everything Is Regulated By Gov?
By b2b on February 21st, 2010government regulatory agencies, licenses, and fees that do nothing but create unfair competition and allow monopolies?
As an example the banks that weren’t allowed to fail are now buying smaller banks and eliminating competition in a market they already dominate. They ultimately will fail again requiring another bailout only next time it’ll be worse. We’re giving a business that wasn’t profitable the chance to further distort the markets by printing money for them and allowing them a monopoly.

What Does It Mean When A Stock’s Price Consistently Moves Against The Market?
By b2b on February 19th, 2010One of the stocks in my portfolio consistently moves in the opposite direction as the Market does – i.e. If the Market is up at the end of the day this stock will be down and if the Market is down for the day this stock will be way up. Does this signify anything or is it just coincidence?
